We Outside!

Alright, Sis...spring has sprung, and summer is on the horizon! Where are we all summer long? OUTSIDE! Oh yes, we have been cooped up too long, daughter, freedom is nigh! 2020 and the coronavirus did a number on all our summer plans. Concerts...canceled. Festivals...canceled. Vacations...CANCELED. We experienced so much last year, and now that the world is opening, we definitely deserve to let our hair down and have a whole lot of fun.

So where are we going? I have three destinations for your choosing.

First, our international destination, Cabo San Lucas! Cabo is known for its breathtakingly beautiful beaches, and is brimming with all-inclusive luxury resorts for adults only or the whole family. You can spend your days enjoying entertaining activities, and adult-only resorts have you covered for nightlife. If you would like to venture off the resort, here are some must-do activities:

• ATV Excursions that explore the Baja desert with experienced local guides leading the way. So tie your hair up, Sis, and let’s get dirty!

• Sunset dinner cruise with unlimited drinks from the open bar, a deliciously prepared dinner, live music, and lots of dancing.

• Snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo. For those who want to get up close with nature, this adventure will have you swimming among large schools of tropical fish right beside one of the most elaborate reefs in the world.

Next up, our domestic destination, Las Vegas, NV! Why Vegas? Because it’s the ultimate playground! This city is colorful and vibrant, and the energy is palpable. As far as hotels...take your pick. If you want to ball out, well, you definitely have options. Resorts on the strip offer in-house casinos, exclusive clubs for nightlife, and spas for the morning after. If you’re trying to stay under budget, there are plenty of off-strip hotels that are an Uber away from top-rated restaurants, tourist attractions, and much more. Here are some activities you are sure to enjoy:

• The High Roller is the world’s tallest observation wheel, so get ready for your photo ops as you take a spin 550ft above the Strip.

• Planet 13. If you partake or not, visiting Planet 13 is an experience all its own. At Planet 13, they believe in having a great time. With giant interactive Lotus Flowers, an Aerial Orb show, and a plethora of “treats” to choose from, you will see why Planet 13 is a #1 voted dispensary and destination.

• Fremont Street Experience. (Period)

Lastly, is our staycation destination. Now I don’t know your situation, but what I do know is you deserve to have a good time! So if you can’t catch a flight, no worries I’ve got you. The key to having a successful staycation is to UNPLUG! Yes, you’re home but not open for business. No emails, no work calls, none of that. Here are some other tips for a pleasurable staycation:

• If you can, get a nice hotel room in your city. You would be surprised at how relaxing it is to be somewhere that’s not your house. If you can’t get a hotel room, then clean up your own. LOL, no shade, but clean it and create an ambiance of calm and relaxation.

• Have a spa day. Turn your bathroom into a luxurious spa with candles and relaxing music.

• Eat somewhere new...for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yep, you’ve heard about these great places to eat, here is your chance to visit them.

• Explore your city! There are so many gems that we take for granted because they’re so close to us. Visit a museum (quirky ones are the best), local markets, or wherever the wind may take you.

Listen...if you can go, get your passport ready, book the flight, pack your bags, fill the tank, whatever you need to do...GO! If you can’t, then create a good time for yourself, Sis! Life is short so fill it up with good times and positive vibes. As for me, don’t ask me where I am...I’M OUTSIDE!
