LICENSING & REUSE OF CONTENT POLICY

This Licensing & Reuse of Content Policy governs the use, reproduction, licensing, distribution, and republication of content owned by URBANE Magazine, LLC (“URBANE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) across www.TheURBANEMag.com and all affiliated platforms.

By accessing or using URBANE content, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Ownership of Content
All content published by URBANE, including but not limited to:

• Print magazine layouts

• Branding elements

• Marketing materials
• Membership materials

2. Permitted Limited Use (Non-Commercial)
You may:

Provided that:

3. Prohibited Uses Without Written Permission
The following actions are strictly prohibited without prior written licensing approval from URBANE:

• Screenshotting and reposting full articles
• Selling or redistributing URBANE content
• Using URBANE content for political, commercial, or advertising purposes
• AI scraping, dataset training, or automated harvesting of content
• Using URBANE content to imply endorsement

Unauthorized use constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action.

4. Photography & Event Media
URBANE retains full rights to all photography and video captured:
• At URBANE-hosted events
• During interviews
• On red carpets
• At sponsored activations
• In editorial sessions

Individuals photographed do not own rights to images unless explicitly granted via written agreement.

Event attendees may repost watermarked images for personal use only. Commercial reuse requires a license.

5. Licensing Requests
Organizations, media outlets, businesses, political campaigns, or individuals seeking to:
• Reprint articles
• Use photography
• License interviews
• Republish editorial content
• Use URBANE branding
• Use of content in books, films, documentaries, or advertising requires a written licensing request.

6. Political & Campaign Use
URBANE content may not be used in political mailers, advertisements, endorsements, fundraising, or campaign materials without explicit written permission and a formal licensing agreement.

Editorial coverage does not imply endorsement.

7. Membership & Subscriber Content
Digital and print subscriptions grant access for personal use only.

Subscribers may not:
• Scan and distribute print issues
• Share digital PDF downloads publicly
• Upload URBANE content to file-sharing platforms
• Reproduce members-only materials

Membership access may be revoked if misuse occurs.

8. User-Generated Content
If you submit content to URBANE (photos, testimonials, stories, etc.):
You grant URBANE a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, archive, promote, and repurpose that content in connection with URBANE’s editorial and promotional activities.

You represent that you own or have permission to submit the content.

URBANE reserves the right to edit, decline, or remove submissions.

9. AI & Automated Use Restrictions
URBANE expressly prohibits:
• Scraping content for AI training
• Republishing content via automated systems
• Rewriting articles for SEO duplication
• Content farming or aggregation

No license is granted for machine learning, data mining, or artificial intelligence training without a formal agreement.

10. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
If you believe URBANE has used your copyrighted material improperly, submit a written notice including:
• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Identification of the allegedly infringing material
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief
• A statement under penalty of perjury

11. Enforcement
URBANE actively monitors unauthorized use of its intellectual property.

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our rights.

12. Future Expansion
As URBANE expands regionally and nationally, including broadcast media, streaming, documentaries, publishing partnerships, and national syndication, this policy will apply to all associated platforms and derivative works.
