To ensure a successful interview, consider the following tips: |
Vivian Brittenum grew up in Forrest City but has been a resident of central Arkansas for the past 28 years. She is a mother of two children, Miracle and Praylyn, and holds a Masters of Business Administration, a Masters in Management and Leadership, and a Bachelors in Management Information Systems.
In addition to these accomplishments, Brittenum is a Commissioner for Jacksonville, a Nationally Certified Public Manager, a Certified Arkansas Governmental Manager, and a Certified Women Entrepreneur from Cornell University. She is also the CEO/President of Rock City Staffing Agency located in Little Rock.
Brittenum founded Rock City Staffing Agency in 2016 but dissolved the company in 2018 because she believed that she would not be able to succeed as a business owner. Despite this self-perspective, God did not allow her to let go of the company or His vision for it no matter how much she tried to ignore it. After working for several years in the Information Technology field for the state government, she realized that God had bigger plans for her and on September 15, 2021, without any backup plans, she quit her job in the parking lot, relying solely on her faith in God. Within a week, she re-incorporated the company, and three weeks later, she received a grant from Remix Ideas. Rock City Staffing Agency has been in official operation since then.
In its first year of business, Rock City Staffing Agency was featured in HUAMI (Who AM I) Magazine. Additionally, Arkansas Money & Politics Magazine awarded Rock City Staffing Agency the "Best Of" award within just two years. Brittenum gives credit to the Rock It Lab and its staff, and local Black business advocate Benito Lubazibwa, for helping her progress her company through education, a physical space to utilize, and entrepreneurial resources.
Brittenum boasts that Rock City Staffing Agency is not just a “temp agency,” but rather, an employment company that provides long-term career opportunities. It strives to help employers achieve their staffing solutions by providing a consistent pipeline of skilled employees. Eighty-eight percent of the employees staffed through Rock City were hired permanently with the company they were originally assigned to. To ensure success, the agency offers resume reviews, mock interviews, coaching on how to dress for success, and at times, actual business attire for interviews. Brittenum proudly promotes her hardworking and dedicated employees and employers trust that if she puts her stamp of approval on an employee, that employee is worth the investment.
Currently, Rock City Staffing Agency serves Central Arkansas but it will expand its perimeter of employers outside that area. It offers many staffing options, including temporary, temporary-to-permanent, contractual work, and direct hire opportunities in administrative, customer service, manufacturing, and light warehouse positions. The agency also offers flexible work schedules through full-time, part-time, and remote job opportunities.
