Design
Ad design is included in to cost. Pre-existing ads are accepted for design reference only, and will be approximately replicated to meet the design standard of the magazine. URBANE uses a reputable design company that is familiar with the standard of the magazine.
This includes 2 hours of design time and 2 proofs. Extra fees are charged for additional services outside of this. Ad will include business logo, contact information, and pictures, or as much as the ad‘s dimensions will allow, if available and complimentary of the ad and URBANE Magazine.
Include the name of your brand’s fonts with your digital submission so that your entity will be represented properly. You can also embed all fonts into your document.
Digital
Magazine cover ads are required to be full-page ads.
Home Page ads remain posted for only 30 days beginning on the first day of the month and removed on the last day of the month coinciding with the contract’s expiration date. No exceptions.
Dimensions
Available sizes for digital and printed ads are listed on their specification pages. These are the only size options.
Placement
Advertisements are rotated and interspersed throughout the website and printed magazine, except for preferred placement ads. Preferred placement is the exact location that the advertiser wants their ads to be located on a webpage. Preferred placement ads incur a $40 fee. They can be applied to all webpages except for the Home Page, and used for the 30- or 60-day plans.
Home Page preferred placement is the exact location that the advertiser wants their ads to be located on Home Page on the website. The Home Page automatically incurs a $50 fee and is applicable for the 30-Day plan only. Home Page ads remain posted for only 30 days beginning on the first day of the month. All ads are removed from the website on the last of the advertiser’s contract.
All ads will have the ability to direct patrons to the entity’s website or social media page by clicking them. We recommend posting your ad on a webpage that reflects your brand and/or is expected to be seen.
Some URBANE webpages can only accommodate specific ad dimensions, thus you may have to choose a different page to place your ad or purchase an accommodating ad for the desired webpage. Advertisers can only have one of each ad on a webpage at a time.
Prices
All rates are priced per ad per contract. All prices are already discounted. URBANE reserves the right to revise advertising rates at any time.
Repeats
The previous ad will be repeated for the next scheduled space if no new acceptable art/film/digital file has been received. URBANE Magazine is not liable for any loss that results from incorrect or outdated information after ads have received final approval the first time.
Rotation
Ad rotation happens on the last day of every month - old ads will be removed from the website on the last of the month, and new ads will be added to the website on the first day of the month. No exceptions.
Submission
Pre-existing ads are accepted for design reference only, and will be approximately replicated to meet the design standard of the magazine. You must submit your business’ insignias, logos, and other pertinent information immediately so designing can begin.
Files can be sent via email (if 2MB or smaller), Google Drive, or Dropbox. Compression files are accepted, as well. Send as a single archive file using the .ZIP format.
Submit images in the highest resolution possible. Images must be submitted in their original proportions. The following file formats are acceptable:
· JPEG/JPG
· PNG
· PDF
· EPS
· TIFF
We are unable to accept Corel files or Microsoft Works files. We accept all versions of the following program file formats:
· Adobe Photoshop
· Microsoft Word
· Adobe InDesign
· Adobe Illustrator
If you submit your file by email or file transfer utility, such as Google Docs or Dropbox, please send a hard (paper) copy as well. We want to ensure that our copy looks like your copy. Double-check all the information before submitting your pre-existing ad. URBANE Magazine is not liable for any loss that results from incorrect or outdated information after ads have received final approval the first time.
PAYMENT
The number of ads, type of ads, preferential placement, and additional services incurred will determine the total cost. All materials and payments are due by the 15th of the month preceding the publication. No refunds. All payments are due in full at the time that material is submitted. Failure to do so will void the contract and ad in its entirety. Deadlines will not be changed or adjusted under any circumstances.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Advertisements are conditionally accepted and published under the assumption that the advertiser is authorized to publish the entire content and subject matter of the advertisement; that the advertisement does not violate or infringe any personal or property rights of others, whether common law or statutory; that the advertisement contains nothing libelous or contrary to law; and that they are authorized to make these representations. The advertiser will indemnify, defend, and save URBANE Magazine, LLC. harm from and against any loss or expense (including attorney’s fees) arising out of that publication, including without limitation any loss or expense resulting from a claim or suit for libel, invasion of privacy or copyright infringement, or any other claim based on the content or subject matter of the advertisement.
2. URBANE Magazine, LLC. is not bound by any condition on a contract, order, or copy instructions (whether printed or not) other than those set forth in this media kit unless specifically agreed upon in writing by URBANE Magazine, LLC.
3. URBANE Magazine, LLC. reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement, insertion order, space reservation, contract, or position commitment at any time without cause.
4. Any advertisement simulating URBANE Magazine’s editorial matter in appearance or style that is not immediately identifiable as advertising is not acceptable. URBANE Magazine, LLC. reserves the right to insert the word “Advertisement,” or any other term or phrase stating that acceptance of the advertisement does not constitute endorsement or approval by URBANE Magazine, LLC. of the products or services advertised above or below any copy.
5. Positioning of advertisements is at the sole discretion of the URBANE Magazine, LLC. except if a request for a specific position is acknowledged in writing by URBANE Magazine, LLC.
6. URBANE Magazine, LLC. shall not be subject to any liability whatsoever for any failure to publish or circulate all or any copies of any issue of the URBANE Magazine because of a strike, work stoppage, accident, fire, an act of God, or any other circumstance not within the Publisher’s control.
7. Unintentional or inadvertent failure by URBANE Magazine, LLC. to publish advertising does not constitute a breach of contract or otherwise subject URBANE Magazine, LLC. to any liability whatsoever. Arrangements will be made to publishing a missed advertisement in another issue. URBANE Magazine, LLC. liability for any other error will not exceed the cost of the space occupied by the error.
8. Advertisers may not change or cancel any order for an advertisement after the closing date for the issue in which the advertisement is to be published.
9. URBANE Magazine, LLC. has the right to hold the advertiser liable for such monies that are due to URBANE Magazine, LLC. for advertising.
10. Rates published on this media kit are effective with every issue of URBANE Magazine. Updates and changes are subject to be made by URBANE Magazine, LLC. without notice.
CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
By submitting a contract, entities authorized to allow their business, and its likenesses, to be published in URBANE Magazine, and agree to all the terms and conditions of this contract, and to submit all materials to the publisher no later than the established deadline.
All ads are required to compliment the quality and standards of URBANE Magazine therefore approval and acceptance of pre-existing ads is not guaranteed. URBANE reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, and at any time, to reject any advertisement.
All designed ads made by URBANE will remain the property of URBANE Magazine, LLC., and may not be reproduced without URBANE Magazine’s written permission.
Signing the advertising contract acknowledges that the advertiser agrees that they have read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions of this media kit.
