2022 Father’s Day Tributes
Fathers are the men that posture themselves—or are postured—to occupy a relational bond with another person actively. This bond is not limited to a biological connection but can be established by mutual regard and respect for someone’s well-being. This role carries a responsibility whose extent and weight vary and is juxtaposed to those he fathers.
We, the recipients of their effort, understand that a father’s role comes with no instruction manual to guide, so each man is doing the best that he can according to the extent of his know-how and the cards in his hands. It is not our job to pass judgment on things we do not agree with or allow our experiences to overshadow our father’s humanity. It is, however, our job to find inner peace with those things we disagree with, cultivate empathy from our own shortcomings, and extend our fathers grace.
In correlation with the traditions of this day, we acknowledge all fathers with these few words of appreciation. Regardless of how you became our fathers or father-figures, we say ‘Thank You’ for your efforts. Thank you for your regard. And thank you for your love. We honor you.
