A NEW RHYTHM

Same mission. Different tempo.

EVOLUTION

URBANE has been committed to amplifying Arkansas' Black presence. While that mission hasn't changed, how we carry it forward is evolving.

Beginning in 2027, URBANE is stepping away from regularly scheduled print and digital magazine issues and embracing a more flexible approach to amplifying us.

Our website and social media platforms will remain active, keeping Black Arkansas connected, celebrated, and informed. Special editions may still happen when the story, timing, and resources align.

The mission continues.

We're simply moving to a new rhythm!

SIX YEARS OF STORIES & A LEGACY STILL IN MOTION.

As we move forward, we'll continue our original mission, but predominantly through a more digital presence to connect with the communities we serve.

A Note from the Founder

Six years ago, I released URBANE with a simple mission: to make sure the stories of Black Arkansas were seen, heard, and celebrated. That mission's impact has surpassed what I ever imagined. And while I'm incredibly proud of what has been built, I've also learned that growth doesn't always mean doing more. Sometimes, it means finding a different way forward.

As URBANE enters its seventh year, we're embracing a new rhythm. Regular magazine publishing may be on pause, but the stories, the connections, and the purpose behind this brand are not.

Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you've been here since Issue 1 or just discovered us.

We're still here. Still telling our stories. Still Amplifying Black Arkansas.

My commitment to telling Black Arkansas stories with integrity, cultural visibility, meaningful partnerships, and a celebration of excellence remains unchanged.

There may be fewer printed pages, but there will always be stories worth telling.
