Website Operations Manager

URBANE Magazine is Arkansas' newest Black lifestyle magazine. We are looking for an eager, trustworthy, and willing-to-learn Website Operations Manager to help us keep growing. If you're dedicated and ambitious, URBANE is an excellent place to grow your career. Don't hesitate to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • oversee the daily functionality of the website
  • evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management
  • develop, maintain, and update website content​
  • plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the URBANE website
  • respond to and troubleshoot all website issues
  • identify and respond to all website security breaches
  • ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures
  • conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
  • ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans
  • improve the User Experience of the website regularly
  • collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the URBANE standards
  • create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics
  • ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites
Qualifications:​
  • have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and fantastic content creation
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang, Ebonics, and expressions
  • ability to work efficiently, effectively, timely, and independently with little or no daily supervision
  • ability to be and remain organized
  • strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management
  • ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously efficiently and effectively
  • have a strict adherence to the URBANE brand's style guide and policies for publication
  • good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
  • proficiency with computers and internet browsers, such as Google Chrome and Safari
  • proficient with writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • familiarity with the URBANE brand, image, products, and services
  • high school diploma, GED, BS degree in English, journalism, communications, or relevant field preferred; years of experience is acceptable
